Emami Realty was incorporated in 2006 as the real-estate arm of the Emami Group and was amalgamated in July 2016 with Emami Infrastructure Ltd., a company listed on NSE and BSE. The parent Emami Group was founded in 1974 by R.S. Agarwal and R.S. Goenka and has grown into a diversified business house . The realty vertical today represents landmark creations in India and abroad covering close to 37 million sq ft. The company is headquartered at Emami Tower on EM Bypass in Kolkata and operates under the joint chairmanship of the two founders.

The approach is collaboration-driven and design-led. The company partners with internationally acclaimed names like Moshe Safdie, L&T and Meinhardt for masterplanning, structural engineering and MEP. Emami Aastha at Bhasa near Joka was designed by architect Sanjay Puri , and Sanjay Puri Architects also authored the Emami Business Bay tower at Salt Lake Sector V. Execution is structured through Special Purpose Vehicles and joint ventures , allowing the developer to ring-fence individual projects while drawing on the financial discipline of a listed parent.
